Dr. Azfer Usmani is presently working with Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust, Kent. He specializes in management of a wide array of chronic pain conditions using the latest techniques in pain management.

He is trained in South East England in pain medicine and anaesthetics. A part of his training was at the Guys & St. Thomas Hospital as well as St. George’s Hospital. He obtained the FRCA and FFPMRCA qualifications from the Royal College of Anaesthetists, UK.

Later, he was appointed as a consultant in Pain Medicine at Forth Valley Royal Hospital in June 2011. Having worked in the pain medicine departments of various hospitals over a period of nine years, Dr Azfer Usmani has acquired wide experience in managing chronic pain in patients with varying medical conditions.

He specializes in multimodal and multidisciplinary techniques involving medicines, interventions, behavioral therapy and neuromodulation. He works closely with orthopedics, neurosurgeons, physiotherapists and pain psychologists.

He is proficient in ultrasound guided nerve injections and is adept at x- ray guided facet joint radio frequency denervation and sacroiliac joint denervation. He is competent in selective nerve root blocks and has also implanted spinal cord stimulators.
